Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-13
This policy explains what data Saywell collects, why, and who else touches it. The short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we send your content to AI providers only to produce the features you asked for, and we do not sell your data.
1. What we collect
- Account data — name, email, and profile photo from our authentication provider (Clerk), including Google sign-in if you use it.
- Your career content — CVs you upload or paste (files and extracted text), rewrites and analyses, job descriptions you tailor against, and application-tracker entries.
- Practice sessions — transcripts of your spoken answers and the delivery metrics and AI feedback derived from them. Your voice recordings are sent to a speech-to-text provider to produce the transcript and are not permanently stored by us.
- Billing data — plan, purchases, and token usage. Card details go directly to our payment provider (Polar); we never see or store card numbers.
- Usage data — product analytics events (pages, feature usage) via Vercel Analytics and Amplitude, used to understand what works and fix what does not.
2. How we use it
To run the features you use: parsing and analyzing your CV, generating rewrites and interview feedback, tracking applications, and billing. We also use aggregate usage data to improve the product. We do not use your CVs, transcripts, or recordings for advertising, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.
3. AI processing
Saywell's analysis and rewriting features send the relevant content (your CV text, a practice answer transcript, a job description) to third-party AI providers to generate the result: Google (Gemini), OpenAI, and Groq for text analysis and generation, and Deepgram, Groq, or OpenAI for speech-to-text. We use these providers' API services, which contractually do not use API data to train their models. Content is sent only when you trigger a feature that needs it.
4. Where your data lives
Application data is stored in Supabase (managed Postgres and file storage); the app is hosted on Vercel; authentication data is held by Clerk. Access to production data is limited to the operator.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete individual CVs in the app, and you can request full account deletion at any time — see the Data Usage & Deletion Policy for exactly what gets removed and how fast.
6. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email nurayzhumasseit@gmail.com from your account email and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in a jurisdiction with specific data-protection rights (such as the GDPR), these rights apply to you as provided by that law.
7. Cookies
We use cookies required for sign-in sessions (Clerk) and analytics. We do not run third-party advertising cookies.
8. Changes
Material changes to this policy will be dated at the top and announced in the product. Questions: nurayzhumasseit@gmail.com.
